As a new mother of a little baby boy, scared because my son was in the
NICU, I realized I had a calling in the NICU. I had always known that I
wanted to be a Nurse and help the sick get better and help the community to
over come diseases. However after seeing all the helpless and sick children
lying their, I knew right away that I need to be there for those children.
These children for nine months were in a womb and everything was acceptable
and now they are struggling to survive. Many parents and families are afraid
and would like to know what went wrong. As a mom of a child in the NICU, I
can help the new parents to understand what they are going through. I would
like to be an educator of the NICU. I believe that if you are strong for
your children than it will help them to over come their sickness. After
seeing my son there, I feel like I need to give my love and support to the
hopeless parents and struggling babies
